Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition

The following charts provide an example of estimated expenses for the 2022-2023 academic year (July 2022 – June 2023).

Students should expect to pay the minimums listed below to complete the program, plus textbook and practicum fees.

Please note that tuition and fees are subject to change each academic year, as approved by the UNC System Board of Governors. Any tuition change is applicable to all enrolled students.

Admitted students will be required to submit a $250 nonrefundable enrollment deposit to reserve a place in the program. Enrollment deposits will be applied as a credit toward the first term’s tuition once the student enrolls in the program.

Master of Public Health (MPH Leadership, MPH Nutrition, and Applied Epidemiology): 42 credits to complete

Tuition: $1,735 per credit
Student Fees (spring/fall): $28.69 per credit
Student Fees (summer): Summer student fees will be finalized later this year.

These figures reflect the tuition decrease requested for FY2022-23, which has been approved by the UNC Board of Governors. Tuition rates do not become official until the annual budget is passed by the legislature and signed by the governor.

Students in the MPH@UNC program are not eligible for The University of North Carolina System Tuition Waiver Program.
