Frankie Catalfumo, MPH, CIC

Frankie Catalfumo is an infection control epidemiologist with the Department of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. His work focuses on preventing and controlling the spread of infections in the health care setting, with a specific interest in device-associated infections and clinical education. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, he supported technical operations for the Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services, Pan American Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for various large-scale public health emergencies involving infectious diseases. Catalfumo has a master’s in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is board certified in infection control.
