Katherine L. Turner is the founding president of Global Citizen, LLC, a consulting firm that works in the United States and internationally to strengthen leaders’ capacity to effect organizational and social transformation by advancing public health, human rights, global competence, equity, diversity and inclusion.

As adjunct faculty at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, she teaches and mentors the next generation of global health leaders. Turner is a renowned organizational and community thought leader, senior global advisor, public speaker, educator, author and change agent who has worked in English, French and Dutch in more than 50 countries spanning five continents.

Her research interests include global health, global competence, equity, diversity and inclusion, gender, women’s health, LGBTQ+ health and rights, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. She teaches PUBH 718 – Systems and Design Thinking for Public Health Leaders.

Global Citizen, LLC, works in partnership with a diverse network of dynamic consultants and interns and collaborates with company leaders across all sectors to:

  • Conduct strategic visioning, assessment and values clarification.
  • Align vision, mission, values, policies, practices and culture.
  • Effect organizational and social transformation.
