Niketta Womack, DrPH, MPH

Dr. Niketta Womack is an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Division of STD Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, she serves as a senior data manager responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating data collection systems for lab, clinical and epidemiological data. Dr. Womack is a key advisor to scientific staff on epidemiological data management and analysis for ongoing projects involving STD surveillance and monitoring trends of antimicrobial resistant Neisseria gonorrhea. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in emergency preparedness and response activities, disease surveillance, outbreak mitigation, data collection and statistical analysis. She is also proficient in epidemiological methods and study designs. Dr. Womack began her career as a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service (USPHS) in December 2011 and advocates for the health and wellness of the nation by responding to public health emergencies and national disasters. 

Dr. Womack holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Georgia State University and received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Tulane University. She completed her Doctor of Public Health in Public Health Leadership at Georgia Southern University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking and food blogging, working out and traveling the world with family and friends.
