Concentrations

In the face of pressing public health challenges — from chronic disease to water access and quality to opioid abuse — public health leaders must be able to develop solutions tailored to specific environments, professional arenas and audiences. MPH@UNC offers four concentrations that will enable you to cultivate expertise in a specific area of public health and prepare you to apply your knowledge in local and global settings.

As an MPH@UNC student, you must complete five courses in your chosen concentration before pursuing elective courses in other areas of study. All concentrations are designed to meet Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) competency requirements.
