Review These Important Resources

If you are considering using financial aid to fund your degree, visit the Office of Scholarships & Student Aid website.

Please note: To be eligible for financial aid, you need to be enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 credit hours in the fall and spring terms and a minimum of 1.5 credit hours in the summer term.

Extend Bill Due Date

  • Students expecting financial aid, departmental funding or other third-party support are strongly encouraged to request a deferral of their tuition charges, due prior to the start of each term.
  • There is no charge for deferring your bill.
  • This may help avoid past-due charges if you are expecting financial aid awards.
  • Requests to extend the due date must be submitted by the due date on the first bill of each semester.
  • Note the revised due date carefully.

Installment Payment Plan

  • UNC-Chapel Hill has partnered with Tuition Management Systems Inc. (TMS) to offer a payment plan allowing you to spread your educational expenses over monthly installments.
  • This option is offered through TMS for the fall and spring terms only. Note the deadlines carefully.
  • Eligible expenses are tuition, fees, meal plans and on-campus housing.
